Advanced AV were tasked with replacing a dated intruder alarm system and installation of a CCTV system at a domestic property in Perton.
After receiving alternative quotes the client chose Advanced AV to supply, install and commission a 2MP CCTV system and replace their outdated intruder alarm with a Texecom Premier Elite.
The client wanted the ability to view live and recorded streams from their smart tablet, giving them control of the system from literally anywhere as well as set, unset and manage alerts and events from their intruder alarm from their smart devices also.
The cameras selected and installed were HikVision Turbo HD cameras powered over coax cable (PoC) from the recorder. This allowed the cameras to be installed without the need for separate power supplies.
The cameras had fixed wide-angle lenses to ensure we captured the area the client wanted and integrated IR LEDs meant that, as day turns to night, the cameras still provide a high quality image.
The intruder alarm upgrade selected was a Texecom Premier Elite with 8XP wireless expander and Texecom Connect.
We utilised existing cabling in the house and utilised a Texecom wireless expander to allow for additional detection to be installed without the need for cables to be on show.
A Texecom Connect was also installed to give the client the ability to remotely set, unset and view events/alerts from their smart devices from anywhere in the world.
The 4 channel recorder selected had a 1TB in-built hard drive that provides the client with recording for at least 30 days.
The system was set up to provide the client with the ability to view and monitor their system from their smart phones and iPad from anywhere in the world.
